Custom Instruments and Equipment

Alex, Geddy, and Neil over the years have helped design instruments and other equipment for sale by manufacturers under their signature lines. Here’s what’s available today:

Alex’s Les Paul Axcess Gibson

Lerxst GibsonAlex’s Axcess gets rave reviews from musicians. The neck heel and portions of the back at the upper cutaway are contoured to provide unimpeded reach up to the 22nd fret. It has a Floyd Rose tailpiece, optimized for subtle vibrato, from wobbles to dramatic, rumbling dive-bombs. Exposed-coil 496R and 498T pickups in the neck and bridge yield a wide range of tonal opportunities, from ultra crunch to driving leads.

Alex’s Lerxst Omega Amp and Speaker Cabinet

Gear aficionados love this amp, which is based on the Marshall Silver Jubilee that Alex uses in the studio today. It’s made by Mojotone and has the custom “Lerxst” look that Alex used on stage on the Clockwork Angels tour.

Lerxst Omega Guitar Performer Stand

Omega Stand Alex OmegaThis walk-up performer stand was designed by Alex years ago to enable quick shifts between guitars on stage, but apparently it’s unavailable for sale.

However, other walk-up performer stands are available from K&M, among other companies. On Sweetwater, the music instrument and audio store, the K&M stand retails for $299.99. K&M also makes a walk-up stand for electric guitars.
