Foo Fighters Might Induct Rush at Rock Hall Ceremony
Tickets for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony April 18 at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles go on sale February 1. Ticket prices start at $75 and go up to $3,000, according to unofficial reports.
Thanks to a head’s up from Rush is a Band, which in turn credits Future Rock Legends, we know some of the artists performing: John Mayer, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Don Henley, Gary Clark Jr., Usher, Dave Grohl, and Taylor Hawkins. More are expected to be announced later.
Ed at Rush is a Band says that, because Grohl and Hawkins are on the bill, the Foo Fighters will likely perform and they might be the ones to induct Rush. You might recall that Taylor Hawkins played “YYZ” on drums with Alex and Geddy a few years ago in an impromptu jam session.
Alex, Geddy, and Neil have said in interviews they plan to attend the ceremony and anticipate playing a number or two. Once induction is behind them, they’re scheduled to go back on the road as part of an extended Clockwork Angels North American tour, whch kicks off in Austin April 23 and ends in Atlantic City May 11. Tickets for the North American dates go on sale later this week. From there they go to Manchester, England, for the start of the European leg of the tour.
