Rush Releases Official Lyric Video for ‘The Wreckers’

In “The Wreckers” from Clockwork Angels, the protagonist Owen Hardy hops aboard a steamship after barely escaping the frontier with his life. He’s heading back to civilization, but the steamship gets caught in a storm. Luckily, there’s a beacon in the distance and the ship heads for that. But the beacon is a trap and the ship is destroyed on an unseen reef, with Hardy the lone survivor.

All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary
Of a miracle too good to be true
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary
Everything in life you thought you knew
All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary
‘Cause sometimes the target is you

The video is the third from Clockwork Angels hosted on Rush’s YouTube channel. The other two are the lyric video for “Headlong Flight” and the album teaser video.
