Gregorian Masters of Chant VIII includes ‘Bravado’
The German band Gregorian, known for covering contemporary rock and pop tunes in a traditional chant style, includes a chant version of Rush’s “Bravado” from Roll the Bones (1991) on its latest album, Gregorian Masters of Chant Chapter VIII, which came came out last September.
Other pieces on the 14-track CD include “Pride (In the Name of Love),” by U2, “Red Rain” by Peter Gabriel, “Streets of Philadelphia” by Bruce Springsteen, and “Wonderwall,” by Oasis. The DVD version includes another dozen or so songs.
