Rush Marketing Gone Horribly Wrong
From the ‘What Were They Thinking?’ Dept.
Just happened across these old marketing pieces for Rush’s A Farewell to Kings tour in 1977 and its Hemispheres album in 1978. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with these. I’m just saying.
Incidentally, the A Farewell to Kings tour, according to this poster, started in Canada, dropped down to the Pacific Northwest in the United States (Washington, Oregon), then moved down into California. From there it headed to Texas and Oklahoma and then into other southern states: Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Georgia. What, no one else got to see the show, just the poster?

More Rush marketing gone horribly wrong. This one from the band’s Presto period (1989). The image below is for their L.A. show, on April 2, 1990.
